Phoenix, AZ (February 27, 2013) – The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is honored to announce famed author, entrepreneur and media mogul Arianna Huffington as the keynote speaker for the 2013 PBA Business Forum held during PBA Beauty Week. Hosted by Cosmoprof North America (CPNA), PBA Beauty Week is North America’s largest, most inclusive beauty event, offering unlimited networking, education and business-to-business opportunities to all sectors of the professional beauty industry. PBA Beauty Week will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, July 13 – 16, 2013.
Huffington, who will address PBA Business Forum attendees Sunday, July 14, 2013, will present, From Politics to the Board Room: Fearless Leadership. As a successful entrepreneur and business leader who has triumphed over naysayers, self-doubt and a turbulent economy, Huffington will demonstrate how difficult times can be turned into an opportunity for growth, both personally and professionally. With real-world experience as co-founder and editor-in-chief of the highly successful Huffington Post, Huffington is an expert at showing professionals how to thrive in the face of adversity, ultimately leading both professionals and businesses through the toughest times.
Huffington has led a distinguished career and continues to push the boundaries of politics and business. She has authored thirteen books, been named twice to TIME magazine’sTIME 100 list of the world’s 100 most influential people (2006 and 2011) and contributes regularly to many leading lifestyle and politically focused television programs across the country. Huffington also serves on several boards that promote community solutions to social problems, including A Place Called Home, which works with at-risk children in South Central Los Angeles.
